How To Stop Panic Attacks
What Causes Panic Attacks and How Can They be Eliminated Completely?
Panic attacks, or anxiety attacks, are caused by an over abundance of anxiety that is built up by adrenaline which is not used up. Normally we feel anxious from stress or certain situations but because this adrenaline has been built up without a catalyst, your body overcompensates and develops extreme anxiety symptoms. This often leads to doctor prescribed drugs and anti-depressants for “stress” and “depression”, which is only masking the situation, not curing it.
Fear of Symptoms
All of us experience mild panic attacks (anxiety attacks) and unfortunately, there are some of us who develop what is called a panic disorder, in which panic attacks start occurring more regularly. There are a number of symptoms that panic attacks cause the sufferer, and it is the fear of these symptoms that cause people to have more attacks.
During a panic attack, sufferers experience overwhelming symptoms and thoughts that make them believe they are ill, going mad, feel as if they are about to pass out and even die. Of course these thoughts are all false, but it is the fear of these thoughts and symptoms that cause more attacks.

What’s Really Going on During A Panic Attack?
As mentioned above, Panic attacks occur because of a build up of adrenalin that is released into the blood stream. Adrenaline is the hormone responsible for the fight or flight response to potential threats and is very useful if and when it is required. But, for people with panic disorders, there is no real threat occurring, and the adrenalin is not used up to run away from, or fight a potential threat.
This build up of Adrenalin causes the heart to race, the breathing to quicken and the digestive system to slow down and ultimately create unpleasant and uncomfortable symptoms like dizziness, sweating, palpitations, shortness of breath and many other physical sensations of a panic attack. The sufferer also starts to experience morbid and ‘what if’ thoughts which lead to feelings of losing their mind and that they are going to die.
Slowly, the adrenaline that was released into the blood stream begins to reduce and is used up by the body. But, the fear of another panic attack enables a cycle of fear in the sufferers mind which can be hard to break out of on your own. That’s why we recommend The Linden Method.
Panic Attack Symptoms – How Are They Formed?
Panic attacks, or anxiety attacks, can cause both physical and psychological symptoms, including:
- Disturbed thoughts
- Feelings of impending doom
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pains
- Stomach cramps or diarrhea
- Racing heart
- Dizziness or faintness
- Tingling in the extremities
- Muscle pains
- Sweating
- and many others…
In fact, the list of symptoms is a whole lot longer. The above list are the most commonly described panic attack symptoms a sufferer may experience. Although, all of us are different and therefore these symptoms can be different for everyone.
After a panic attack, it is normal to feel ill. Many sufferers describe these symptoms as feeling weak, tired, confused, over emotional and achy. These symptoms are all normal to anxiety and panic attacks sufferers and will pass.
These aches and pains are the same kinds of aches and pains you would experience after a workout at the gym. During a panic attack, the symptoms you experience are giving your body a workout and actually, your heart is being strengthened. So it is very important to understand that none of these symptoms are going to harm you, they are making you stronger.

The Linden Method provides a structured program which will show you exactly what you must do to achieve total panic attacks elimination. Used by tens of thousands of recovered sufferers, The Linden Method outlines the exact route taken by every recovered anxiety and panic attack sufferer – all I do, is make the whole process as simple, structured and direct as possible by providing you with a ‘roadmap to wellness’.
Through helping so many clients and initially curing my own anxiety using this process, I developed a program which is acknowledged as the solution to anxiety, panic attacks (anxiety attacks), OCD and phobias by doctors and psychologists world over and used in private practice and by government organizations world over.
